Online capacity planner
See who has time across all projects. Each person’s planned hours are compared with their capacity, after time off.

Teamhood is project management software with Kanban, Gantt and timesheets, for teams that run many projects with the same people. Its capacity planner shows every person’s planned hours per day across all projects. When the hours go over a person’s capacity, the day turns red. Capacity comes from each person’s working week, minus time off and team holidays.
1. Set capacity
2. Plan the work
3. Fix overload
Group the schedule by person. Each lane shows the hours per day and a total, and turns red where the hours exceed capacity.

Capacity follows each person’s working week, including part-time weeks. Time off and team holidays lower it.

Group the lanes by team. A team’s capacity is the sum of its members’ capacity.

Estimates are spread over each person’s working days. When someone takes a day off, the hours move to their other working days.

Dates and dependencies come from the same items you plan on the Gantt chart.

A spreadsheet shows the hours one manager planned. When the same people work on several projects, each sheet looks fine on its own and nobody sees the total.
A capacity planner adds up every project for each person, so overload shows before the work starts.
Some work repeats every week, such as a support rotation. Reserve those hours and they are added to the day on top of the project work.
Capacity planning is part of the one plan. One plan for every team: €5 / $6 per user per month, billed yearly, from 3 licenses. The first month is free. See pricing
Capacity planning checks whether the work fits into the hours people have. Resource planning decides who does which task and when. Teamhood does both on the same schedule.
Capacity is the number of hours a person can work on one day. It comes from the person’s working week. A full day off or a team holiday sets it to zero, and a half day off lowers it.
